zenOn Gateway
Protocol independent coupling
The zenon Process Gateway serves as a coupling to higher-level systems. The protocol-independent portion operates the higher-level communication partner and is interchangeable. The protocol module is entirely independent of zenon and can be independently developed, maintained and expanded.
The following protocol modules are currently available:
zenon OPC server
zenon OPC DA server for OPC version 2.0. Can communicate with all common OPC DA clients.
SQL-Online
Writes the current process picture of selected variables into an SQL database and keeps it running. That means: a request to the database always returns the current status of the zenon variables.
Mode: read-only, spontaneous master
MODBUS RTU slave
Supplies the Modbus Master with data of engineered variables. zenon acts like a Modbus-capable PLC. Serial connection.
Mode:read-write, cyclic slave
Open MODBUS TCP
Like Modbus RTU Slave, only through Open Modbus TCP/IP protocol.
An external Open MODBUS TCP master can access the zenon variable image reading and writing. Mode: read-write, cyclic slave
Slave DEC-TCP
For data exchange with H&S-DEC systems. Implements a TCP protocol especially for the connection to UNIX systems.
Mode: read-write, cyclic slave
DNP3 slave
Supplies a DNP3 master with the data of the engineered variables. zenon acts like a DNP3-capable RTU.
Mode: read-write
The list of implemented protocols is continuously updated. Just let us know when you need an additional protocol.
