VBA in the Runtime

Limitless expansion of Runtime functions

zenon was the first SCADA-System to integrate Microsoft® VBA (Visual Basic for Applications). This makes it easy to add functions to the Runtime at any time. Dialogues and macros can be created.

Linear measuring value alignments can be realized as well as a connection to external data sources or a user defined dialogue for target value inputs.

Expansions are easily integrated as variables and their target values can be accessed smoothly, just like pictures and their elements, user administration, alarms, etc.

The zenon function Display Visual Basic Editor allows changing of the VBA-code during the Runtime and adopting the changes immediately. This way problems can be checked easily through debugging and can be corrected during the Runtime.
