Independence

Independence is important to us: for our software - and for our company. One consequence from this: COPA-DATA is purely a family company and operates independently from financial market pressures.

Precisely in the sense of Wolf Lotter's inspiring article in Brand eins Magazine, we use our capital primarily to create value - and not to finance stakes in the money markets.

Thus we also don't set up proprietary script languages, closed import/export mechanisms, locked interfaces, undocumented features and other stumbling blocks, but rather open standards like TCP/IP, OPC, XML, COM, VBA, ActiveX, IEC 61131, SQL, and many others.
