The Multiple-Project Administration by zenon goes beyond the classical client/server structure. Instead of a centralized solution, it follows the principle of decentralization. This way a large project that becomes impossible to maintain at some point due to its large size, can be realized as a package made up of many smaller and distributed projects.

In the zenon Multiple-Project Administration multiple visualization projects can be started on a PC simultaneously. A PC can be server for one project and can at the same time be client for another project. A single PC can even be multi-server (server for several projects) and multi-client (client for several projects) simultaneously.

This is the ideal starting position for the zenon features Circular Redundancy and Horizontal Transparency. The fact that server and client are not defined processor-based but project-based provides a great deal of flexibility.
