The zenon user administration has been created to meet all necessary requirements of the FDA. The user administration can not only be parameterized in the Editor, but also in the Runtime all options are at one’s disposal.
At any time changes in the Runtime can be loaded in the Editor to backup the data there. The user administration can be freely parameterized; choose from one of the following options:
- as many users as desired, can be assigned up to 128 user levels
- user name – password-system
- Administrator functionality: Only one administrator is authorized to create new users, block or deactivate them
- blocking of users or the entire system when security is breached.
- deactivation of users
- deletion of users can be blocked
- Minimal password length (definable)
- Password altering: password must be changed
- obligatory password change when logging in for the first time
- automatic logout after a definable time
- login also possible through Ident-systems
- login only occurs locally on one processor in a network
All changes in the user accounts during Runtime are, of course, protocolled in the Chronological Event List.
Windows user administration
If desired, the Windows user administration can be applied as well. The users are created in the Active Directory and are assigned the corresponding zenon user rights. From this point on, the login in zenon occurs only with the login as Windows user.
A mixed operation of both user administrations is also possible. This way zenon can still be controlled even when the controller domain has been interrupted.
