zenon functions give you many possibilities for controlling, observing and intervening. You can execute scripts, change parameters of variables and dynamic elements, export and archive data, gain an overview of equipment and much more. Functions are quickly and easily created using dialogs and connected to the equipment screen by dragging and dropping.
In Runtime, zenon functions are executed either when an event occurs, or when the user calls them up. In doing so, you already establish, during configuration, who can use which functions and under which conditions. At the same time, you can also give equipment operators the possibility of configuring functions in Runtime. For example, the recipe manager: allows operators to either establish at the planning stage which recipes are used for a certain function, or to leave the decision to the user in Runtime.
You can also use zenon functions throughout projects with no problems at all. You can access the functions of other projects directly, or simply copy this into another project. Projects can also be edited without problems at any time, new functions can be integrated – and then subsequently loaded when in operation. This is ideal for remote maintenance and facilities with critical processes.
In Runtime, you execute functions at the click of a mouse, or automated via scripts. For example, you can call up a script when starting Runtime, or when ending it. zenon uses clear priorities to ensure that all functions are always executed in the right order.
You can use up to 102 functions in zenon 6.51 in any combination desired. This means that if all functions are used together, and these are controlled by scripts, you have 9.4*10158 possible combinations. Off you go …
