Who can change what to the system? Who made what changes and when? You know, and you issue rights very individually, adapted to tasks and user roles and identities, using an identification system which cooperates with the Active Directory and ADAM: zenon User Administration.
zenon provides sophisticated user administration for both Runtime and Editor, which also meets the strict requirements directives of the Food and Drug Administration, 21 CFR Part 11. Parameters for user administration can be set not only in the Editor, but also in Runtime, whereby changes can be read back into the Editor at any time. You can also use identification systems for the login.
With zenon, you administer as many users as you like, to whom you can allocate up to 128 user levels completely freely. You thus provide individual rights for all users. User Administration is compatible with Active Directory and ADAM.
You thus set up users directly in Active Directory and issue the corresponding zenon user rights there. zenon is logged into when the respective Windows user logs into Windows. Because mixed operation of user administration in Windows and zenon is possible, zenon can even be operated if the domain controller were to fail.
As an administrator, you administer users and their rights. You use minimum password lengths and mandatory password changes during initial login as well as automatic logout. With unauthorized access, you not only block users, but also the whole system if required. All changes to the user accounts whilst the program is running are naturally logged in the Chronological Event List.
