Language switching in the Runtime

The Runtime offers language and unit of measure switching in as many variations as desired. This way, machinery and projects can be internationalized at the press of a button – customer engineers around the world can orient themselves immediately.

All kinds of text, including the zenon Standard-Dialogue text, are switchable online. With zenon being a complete Unicode application, Asian and Arabic languages can be used trouble-free. Even the script and its characteristics (size, font) can be switched with the language.

With switching of the language, paths for other language-related files like HTML pages, sounds and video files, and project related help are automatically switched.

Changes in the language tables can be transferred to the target system without ending the Runtime. Even for the audio response via the module Message Control, multi-lingual language engines are at your disposal.

Test the target languages already in the Editor

The zenon Editor allows the display of Runtime objects (text in pictures, variable identifiers, critical value texts, etc.) in one of the defined languages of the online language switch.

This way the result can be reviewed in the zenon Editor directly with the engineered user interface without having to start the Runtime.  

Through Automatic Engineering zenon makes wizards available that automatically create and fill in language tables. Even the translation of the language tables is very easy: Simply send the language table as a text file to a translation agency, have it translated and import the result with a mouseclick into the editor.
