Alarming

Alarms

In zenon alarms can be configured and presented in many ways. They can be:

  • linked to alarm groups and/or alarm classes for logical grouping and priorization.
  • have a linked help chapter, which can be opened at any time in the alarm list.
  • printed automatically on a protocol printer linewise.
  • defined with an obligation to be acknowledged resp. deleted. This guarantees that alarms are acknowledged in a traceable way. Recorded with the acknowledgement are:

- name of the logged in user - date/time of acknowledging or deleting - computer, where the alarm has been acknowledged (important in network projects)

If the option flashing is activated with a limit/alarm, then the linked dynamic elements flash during activation. The blinking can be acknowledged and thereby reset on the graphical elements independently of the alarm. This acknowledgement of an alarm during the Runtime can be combined with the acknowledgement on the PLC through the setting of an acknowledgement bit.
