Filter

Filters are an essential element of the zenon modules. They allow the precise setting of which data is displayed. In principle, there are two different filter types:

• Offline filters are already engineered in the Editor. During the Runtime, filters cannot be changed. This can be used for instance to display the last 100 alarms or always to display the last hour in a trend.
• Online filters are dvided into two groups: pre-defined and free filters.

For the predefined filters certain settings are already defined in the engineering phase. When the filter is applied, only limited settings are possible for the user: for example with the application of a weekly trend, the user can choose which week out of the calendar should be shown.

With free filters the complete filter functionalities are available in the Runtime. The following time filters are available: Absolute and relative time, as well as filters in 30 minute, hour, day, week and month designations. Additionally the batches that should be shown can be selected with sophisticated batch filters.
