The high art of flexibility

zenon offers two kinds of recipe administration:

• Standard recipes: Manages parameters in a table view.
• Recipegroup Manager: As an optional module for the PC, it facilitates the administration of complex recipe collections through a variety of practical functions.

Recipes can be logically grouped and style sheets can be freely designed.
So the editing and saving of an unlimited amount of parameters becomes very easy. By the press of a button the parameters are transmitted to the process level as a target value.

Quick and flexible engineering

The zenon recipe administration makes tailor-made solutions very easy. It provides various helpful functions:

Table view for a concise target-performance comparison of the facility, numerous functions for the ffree administration of any number of recipes during the Runtime. For example: Open, write, read, overwrite, copy, duplicate or export and import recipes. Import of recipe data from external data sources, reading of current equipment data and saving it in a recipe. Linking the process variables to parameter sets directly in zenon, use of existing recipes as samples for more convenience and time-saving, pre-defined standard pictures, Layouts, which can be adapted to your corporate design with just a few mouse clicks, changes in the Runtime can be imported in the Editor at any time to backup the current state, updated data are available in the entire network immediately, functions can be executed by hand or run automatically in the background. Intelligent logical functions, which only have to be adapted to the individual demands.

Safety and convenience

With Recipes considerable changes in a facility can be made. Therefore sophisticated safety mechanisms and access authorizations are essential. If desired, zenon protocols all changes in the recipes and provides for access protection per password in compliance with the especially strict rules of FDA 21 CFR Part 11. Also all deposited values can be recorded with an old/new value.

zenon´s extensive status monitoring provides reliable information to the entire network if a recipe has been written into the PLC in full, as well as which recipe is currently loaded. In the case of an error, an alarm can be triggered immediately. Or the operation of the facility is blocked until the recipe has been completely written.

By the press of a button

recipes switch entire facility segments to maintenance or transfer any desired parameter from one facility to another. Analyze the status of a facility during an error to be able to plan maintenance way better. Benefit from experiences collected in existing segments of the facility and import perfectly balanced sets of parameters to the new facility. Use graphical process pictures with bar graphs, sliders and numerical elements for recipe defaults. Write or read batch numbers or EAN codes into the recipes, save the batches and print the protocol with all values. Read adapted recipes back from the control station into the development environment in order to process and analyze them. Manage recipe groups by application type. Utilize data from company-internal data sources through open standards.
