COPA-DATA opens offices in United Kingdom and North America

COPA-DATA, the Austrian provider of the independent HMI/SCADA software package zenon, continues its expansion. After a recent move to India, offices in the UK and the USA have been established to strengthen the company’s presence in these regions.

SCADA veteran Duncan Fletcher is going to organize Sales and Support for zenon in the United Kingdom at COPA-DATA UK Ltd., based in Cheshire. And in New Jersey, the experienced Matthew J. Udovic of COPA-DATA Corp. will attend to the North American customers.

For COPA-DATA CEO Thomas Punzenberger, this is the right move at the right time: “In recent years, the international sales of zenon have increased by 30%.  The market wants independent systems. The same applies for the UK and the USA. In the United Kingdom, we will be growing further on a solid basis, thanks to the comprehensive knowledge of Mr. Fletcher. And in the USA, we will also take our chances on the market with Matthew J. Udovic, who can look back on more than 20 years’ experience with industry solutions.”

Duncan Fletcher is already looking forward to this new challenge: “COPA-DATA UK already has a content customer base and it will provide a solid foundation for the local technical Support and Sales. Matthew J. Udovic opened his COPA-DATA US office in New Jersey in May 2007.  He has more than 20 years experience in telecommunications, computers, and industrial automation.  Mr. Udovic understands that COPA-DATA and zenon can be very successful in the US.
