Block I: Training (Mo-We)

Introduction into the basic structures of zenon®: The participants of the basic training will be introduces into the basic structures of zenon® and will get an overview over the functional range.

1st day

Description of the development environment; general structure of a project, configuration, datatypes & variables, templates & pictures, vector & dynamic elements.

2nd day

Detailled description of the system messages and the alarming concept. Overview over the additional functionality of the basic version, like recipe management, allocations, time control.

3rd day

Overview over the network possibilities, the connection to Windows CE and the Remote Transport.

Block II: Modules in overview (Th-Fr)

Overview over the optional modules of zenon®.

  • Archiving
  • Logging
  • Extended trend
  • Recipegroup Manager
  • Message Control
  • Production & Facility Scheduler
  • Industrial Performance Analyzer (IPA)
  • Runtime diagnosis.

 

The modules are introduced to small groups and the functional range is explained. General possibilities of VBA in Editor and Runtime. Where can macros be used? Which zenon® objects are available? An overview over the possibilities of intelligen integration and the unique features of the integrated solution straton. Then there is time for further questions and working our first solution steps in a small workshop.  

 

The participant gets a insight in the following topics (learning targets):

 

  • Overview over the zenon VBA objects
  • VBA in difference to other scripting languages
  • Guidelines, hints & tricks in programming
  • Runtime programming (read and write variables, online variables, react on events, access to a database)
  • Editor programming (automated project definition, edit wizards, react on events)

 

Requirement: Basic VBA programming knowledge

 

The participant gets a insight resp. detailed explanations to the following topics (learning targets):

 

  • Overview of the straton® integration in zenon®
  • Creating and editing projects in the five IEC 61131-3 languages with the straton® Workbench
  • Introduction in the test and monitoring possibilities of the straton® Workbench
  • Handling of the straton® Runtime
  • Possibilities of communication between straton® and the periphery (control, I/Os)

 

The participant gets a insight in the following topics (learning targets):

  • Automatic line coloring and topology
  • Command input and interlockings
  • Symbols for procedural elements
  • Alarming and alarm guidance
  • Status administration
