Disc jockey with 140 discs per minute at SONY DADC (Austria)
Three million optical digital data carriers of all different sorts move out of the factories of Sony DADC in Anif and Thalgau near Salzburg. This demands a great deal of the handling machine passing the discs over the checker for quality control. Each of the 16 machines moves 140 discs per minute - controlled by two PLCs with different bus systems, operated by two graphical panels and engineered centrally via the company network.
