COPA-DATA at SPS IPC Drives 2018: Even smarter thanks to new software functions

From November 27–29, we will be attending SPS IPC Drives in Nuremberg, Germany. Together with six of our Partners, we will be demonstrating how our zenon and straton software products can help achieve smart networking of production processes, while also focusing on the areas of smart cities and workflow management.

While digitization provides companies with a number of opportunities, it also poses a number of challenges. For example, supply chains and solution offerings have to be reconsidered to ensure their continued success in the long term. Our zenon software is making an important contribution to establishing smart and integrated processes. We are now presenting zenon as a software platform. Alongside zenon’s familiar strengths, we are now also offering new application templates, including complete project components such as visualization, symbols, calculation logic, and analyses, thereby boosting efficiency. From data capture and machine operation right through to business intelligence, zenon provides an even more comprehensive solution to power digital transformation.

We will also be showcasing our integrated development tool in the form of our straton industrial software based on IEC 61131-3 programming languages (ST, IL, FBD, SFC, LD). Users can benefit from a variety of configuration and programming options for industrial automation.

Experience manufacturing and the city of the future today

Another key focus will be on the concept of the smart city. We will be demonstrating how smart networking of the functions of the city of the future can be achieved – that is, through intelligent data capture and processing. We will also be presenting our workflow management solution, which facilitates the formulation of smarter production steps. Our assistance system also boosts efficiency and reduces errors thanks to the digital user interface.
