zenon VSTA Training - 2 days (TR-VSTA)

Via Pillhof 107

The zenon VSTA Training course will give you an overview of VSTA programming in zenon. Working in a small group, you will get to know the functions and properties in zenon’s COM interface and learn how to enhance your zenon Supervisor project with VSTA.

Training process:

All training courses are designed to be interactive and guided by a moderator. You will have enough time during the course to apply the theory you have learned in practice. Training courses take place in our training rooms. Alternatively, upon request, one of our trainers can hold a training course at your office.

  • zenon COM interface: no prior knowledge required
  • Software programming: basic knowledge is required, particularly in a .NET programming language (C# or VB.NET)
  • zenon Editor and Runtime: basic knowledge is required
  • Windows: basic knowledge is mandatory
  • Automation: basic knowledge is beneficial

The zenon VSTA Training course provides you with basic knowledge of the COM interface in zenon. You will follow a step by step process to learn how to use the VSTA Editor and how the COM interface communicates with zenon. In a very short amount of time, you will be able to write your own VSTA macro and execute it in the zenon Editor. On the second day, you will learn how to write VSTA macros for the zenon Runtime and execute them. We will teach you about the zenon object model and demonstrate a few default functions. Using a few practical examples, you will gain in-depth knowledge of the COM interface in zenon.

Day 1

  • Presentation of VSTA and COM
  • Description of the COM interface in zenon
  • Explanation of the zenon VSTA Editor and its communication with zenon
  • Put the learned theory into practice by creating your own VSTA macro and executing it in zenon Editor

Day 2

  • Creation of a VSTA macro that can be used in zenon Runtime
  • Use of your own VSTA macros in zenon Editor and zenon Runtime
