Salzburg University of Applied Sciences upgraded to Qualified Partner Level

For more than 15 years, COPA-DATA and the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences, through its Information Technology & Systems Management (ITS) study path, have cooperated very successfully as strong innovation drivers in the sphere of industrial automation. Its continuous engagement and zenon expertise have entitled the university to become the first educational institution worldwide to receive COPA-DATA Qualified Partner status.

15 years of cooperation

In May this year, we celebrated the 15th anniversary of our cooperation in the area of research and and education, as well as in the support of youth development for the Salzburg technical site. COPA-DATA and the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences (study path: ITS) are setting a joint focus on educating students in the engineering sciences. Not only education and research, but practical applications for the end customer are gained from this close cooperation. Students thereby gain access to products which are at the cutting edge of technological advances. At the same time, companies can profit from the research work provided by the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences.

Partner since 2013

Since 2002, many dozens of projects have confirmed the successful collaboration between COPA-DATA and the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences. Joining the COPA-DATA Partner Community in 2013 was a logical step for the university in order to bring more visibility to the cooperation. Simon Kranzer, lecturer from ITS, sees the Partner Community as a very valuable platform for an interaction between companies and universities. “The wide range of possibilities for networking enables us to offer students interesting insights into current technical developments and make application domains and complex research questions in the world of automation more tangible for them.”

Given the close cooperation with the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences, we are very pleased to upgrade them to the Qualified Partner Level. This allows the university to enjoy even more benefits within the COPA-DATA Partner Community and gives the opportunity to intensify our joint activities further. Simon Kranzer confirms: “The cooperation with COPA-DATA encourages progress and innovation. The unity of research, training and practical experience guarantees our offer of a high-quality education.”
