That’s exactly what we’re looking for. As an Industry Solutions Specialist at COPA-DATA, you’ll work at the interface between market, customers, and product development. You’ll drive our activities in renewable energy and supply-infrastructure sectors and build strong relationships with strategic customers. With your expertise and enthusiasm, you’ll create real value — both internally and externally. You bring energy to every challenge.
Your tasks:
- Monitor market and technology trends in the energy sector.
- Provide technical and strategic support to key accounts (not commercial sales).
- Represent COPA-DATA at trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings.
- Create and maintain industry demos, white papers, and marketing content.
- Support tenders, requirements/specifications, and proof-of-concepts (PoCs).
- Liaise with Sales, Product Management, Marketing, and Technology teams.
- Deliver internal and external trainings and workshops.
- Build and maintain relationships with TSOs, DSOs, and other industry stakeholders.
Your qualifications
- Education: HTL (technical college) or degree in Electrical Engineering / Smart Energy Systems.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in the energy industry (e.g., wind, solar, storage, industrial plants).
- Practical experience with SCADA/HMI systems and customer projects.
- Excellent English; German is a plus.
- Strong project and customer managment experience and confident presentation skills.
- Good communication skills, eagerness to learn, and interest in leadership development.
- You work in a structured, autonomous way and feel comfortable in fast-moving projects.
- Nice to have: PMP or IPMA certification, experience running industry events, and white-paper authorship.
Depending on professional experience, this position is at least classified according to the IT collective agreement in ST1/entry level. The final gross salary is in line with the market and is based on your training, qualifications and experience.
This position is part of the Global sales / business development team.
