Process Recorder
Recording and playback of processes for subsequent analysis
zenon Process Recorder offers the possibility to traceably analyze errors and problems after they have happened. It supplements known zenon tools, such as Extended Trend, the Alarm Message List and the Chronological Event List, for an even more precise analysis of errors.
The Process Recorder records data in zenon Runtime, which is later played back in project simulation mode. Problems can thus be analyzed in more detail after the event (in a post-mortem analysis). Simulation and training of new employees can also be carried out in a clear manner with the Process Recorder.
Functionality
The Process Recorder archives actual process stages. During the course of the process, the variables that have been configured for the Process Recorder are recorded. Recording is carried out in the event of a value change.
The data collated is subsequently played back in the process screen in simulation mode again, exactly as it was recorded. Playback is in the simulation of the process screen, in exactly the same time and sequence as the data was recorded.
With the display in the process screen, analyses are easier to understand; the extraction of possible data sources from alarm lists or event lists is made superfluous. Furthermore, the Process Recorder allows the analysis of errors that have not triggered alarms for various reasons. There is no impairment to the productive process as a result of playback in simulation mode.
Navigation in the Process Recorder
The operation of the Process Recorder is designed to be intuitive. One possibility to start the Process Recorder in Runtime for analysis is, for example, to select a certain time point in a list (alarm, event) and to jump to this time in replay mode. Errors can be located more easily this way.
It is possible to navigate within a desired time period in the Process Recorder. Jumps through time intervals, jumps to the next/previous events, and navigation by means of a scroll bar are possible. Even playback of the process, similar to a video, is possible.
Simple project configuration
The configuration of the Process Recorder is designed to be simple, in just four steps:
- Activation of the Process Recorder in the project
- Activation of the variables that are to be recorded by the Process Recorder
- Creation of the function for simulation mode
- Creation of the screen and the function for the control of the Process Recorder in simulation mode
When developing the Process Recorder, particular value was placed on performance. The Process Recorder can therefore also handle particularly large zenon projects. The Process Recorder can work in a network and can be configured to be redundant.
